Brenda Hernández is a first-generation Angeleno, born and raised in the San Fernando Valley. As the proud daughter of Honduran immigrants, she has established herself as a dynamic multimedia creative. Brenda’s journey in filmmaking began early; at just 17, she became an award-winning filmmaker, directing five student films through Cleveland High School’s Media Academy (GMS). She went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Northridge, in 2015.

Brenda is known for her versatility and ability to wear many hats. She is the founder of Con Sabor Y Alma Productions, a company dedicated to amplifying the voices and stories of underrepresented communities. She has also produced short films under Lunar Fragments Productions and is now the producer of the Central American Voices Podcast and the MíraLA Podcast.

Beyond her creative pursuits, Brenda is a passionate advocate for mental health awareness, immigration reform, and human rights. She volunteers with organizations such as the LA LGBT Center, Escuela Simón Bolívar in Honduras, Classroom of Compassion, and Immigo LA, contributing her skills and advocacy to mutual aid and humanitarian efforts throughout the year.

In her personal life, Brenda is a dedicated runner and finds inspiration in championing causes close to her heart, always striving to make a meaningful impact through her work and community engagement.
